Manresa house is situated on the outskirts of Victoria, the capital of the picturesque island of Gozo, in the Maltese archipelago. It  enjoys beautiful surroundings with fields and hills. The house has a view on one of the most charming valleys of the island. The view  catches, as well a glimpse of the not too distant sea.

Gozo is an ideal island for a retreat: there is no heavy industry, light traffic on the roads; a lot of unspoilt countryside and a thinly  populated island. The Gozitans' blend of traditional and modern village life is visible and fascinating.

It is relatively very easy for a retreatant to go to the seaside, walk to the country or visit religious sanctuaries, especially the Sanctuary of  our Lady of Ta' Pinu, for personal prayer.

A small Jesuit in-service community, of the Jesuit Province of Malta is resident in the retreat house. Three members of the community  form a team for retreat giving and spiritual direction. Apart from Maltese and English, the official languages of the Maltese, Italian and  French are also spoken in the community.

Manresa House has two inspiring chapels, two comfortable multi-media halls, a small library, and a relatively spacious garden. The house  has 28 ensuite-rooms. Half the rooms are large enough to take more than two persons if necessary.

The management of the house gives priority to retreats, seminars, prayer sessions and study days. Yet, if rooms are available those who  may wish to spend some time enjoying the peace and quiet that the island of Gozo offers are most welcome visitors!
